Nominal Ledger


The Datafile Nominal Ledger is the backbone of the Datafile Accounting and Management Information System. The Nominal Ledger, sometimes known as the General Ledger, is the main accounting record for your business having accounts for current and fixed assets, liabilities, revenue and expenses, gains and losses.


Coding and Analysis

The Nominal Ledger allows for a fully definable coding structure including cost centre and departmental analysis of income and expenses as required. Drill-down enquiries from the Nominal Account to the source transaction is also available which, together with a flexible data structure, ensures speedy access to key information. Security options allow for confidential information to be restricted by user authority levels.

A full range of Journal processing options are available – as well as standard multi-line journal entry options are available for provisional journal posting and pre-defined journal templates. An incremental reference is automatically applied to each journal for full audit tracking.


Reporting

Multiple Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet layouts can be defined as well as standard supporting reports such as Trial Balance, Account Audit Trail and Journal Listings are available. Reports can be sent to Screen, PDF, MS Excel, MS Excel Pivot Tables, MS Word, Email as well as the usual Print Devices.
